The Low Rise Housing Diversity Code.

The Low Rise Housing Diversity Code allows a wider range of medium density developments to be carried out under the fast-tracked Complying Development system. After years of pushback and delays from councils, the code came into full affect in July 2020.

The Low Rise Housing Diversity Code allows the following developments up to 2 storeys to be approved as a complying development provided they meet all the requirements of the code.

  • Dual Occupancies (attached or detached)

  • Manor Houses

  • Multi-dwelling developments (Terraces)

To find out if you can build any of the above on your lot or a lot you’re looking to purchase, we can carry out an assessment for you. We prepare a detailed report for you which can be purchased from our online store.
